Revlon Blue Lagoon seemed like a cheap way to try out something similar to Chanel Riva, so I grabbed it. I can shell out $25 a bottle for a Chanel polish if it's unique and something I love and would wear, but Riva isn't new. And it isn't part of their regular line. Therefore the prices on EvilBay, when you can find it, are beyond insanity.
I did a review of Hard Candy Sky a few days ago here. It's actually much closer to Riva than this Revlon one is. But what I am beginning to think, after reading reviews of Riva and the horrible application and then trying Sky and Blue Lagoon, is that ANY light blue automatically has horrible application. If anyone out there knows of one that has GOOD application, please let me know.
Okay, so we've established that it's NOT a Riva dupe and that it has horrible application. On to the pics.
As you can see, if you'll ignore the bumps and bubbles, it does have nice subtle glass flecks (well, I'm not positive it's glass flecks but it's more than a shimmer and less than a glitter - definitely nothing you can feel) and good color saturation.
