YSL The Blacks Collection 2011 |
Yves St. Laurent has just released a new Limited Edition trio of shimmery, blackened polishes for Fall/Winter 2011 and of course I had to have them!
Black Lapis (purple)
Black Indigo (blue) and
Black Bronze.
The application on all three polishes was the same - superb. They are opaque in one medium-thick coat or two thin coats but they dry slightly dull, so a topcoat is definitely advised to bring out all of the shimmery goodness. The brush is good and all photos are shown without cleanup.

These polishes can be ordered from
Nordstrom for $45.00 for the trio. Be advised while the site says they are "regular $20 each" and the $20 regular bottles are normally .33 oz., these are just .2 ozs. each. Of course Nordie's customer service was excellent, as usual.
Do you have these yet? Planning on getting them?
Which is your favorite?

ReplyDeletePurple one is my favourite:3
wow, all of these are awesome. concept reminds me of Chanel Russie collection, some colors seem similar
ReplyDeleteLove the Black Lapis. :) Where'd you get the China Glaze special pink for October/BCA month? You are FUELING an OBSESSION here!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks PB! I got the ChG Go-Go Pink at Sally Beauty - it came packaged with a Seche Vite top coat and a lil keyring of an angel with pink in it. Hey, it's better than feuling a handbag obsession, right? *giggle*
ReplyDeleteHermetic, I've heard that they are similar, but I missed the Russies, so I'm not sure how close they are. Definitely appears to be the same concept though.
ReplyDeleteHiya Boarbb!
I'm dying those are so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOoh, these are all gorgeous - I do love any blackened shade, obviously - but my favorite by far is Black Bronze. *drool*
