Orly Purple Pleather - Swatches and Review

I'm in the last throes of a migraine so I'm still wearing my alternating a-England Lady of the Lake and Tristam mani, but I saved one back from last week to show you. I always try and keep a few stashed back for just this sort of thing. They're always from older collections, though, so you don't miss anything NEW.

Today I have for you Orly Purple Pleather. If you're from my generation, the word pleather brings to mind haunting images of naugahyde - vinyl furniture from the 70s *shudder*. But it's really pretty awesome once you get past the name!

Purple Pleather came out as one of the 4 colors in Orly's Plastix Collection for Fall of 2010. It's not a matte and it's not a gloss. It's more like a satin finish. It dries quickly and wears quite well. Two coats achieved total opacity and it went on quickly and smoothly. Blue-based purple.

Of course if you want to use a top coat with it, it's still gorgeous!

    1. It's still available. One of the reasons I love Orly is because they don't do many LE polishes. They don't need the hype and feeding frenzy LEs cause. Zoya, too. Love!
