Chanel Orange Fizz

It took me a long time to decide to pick up Chanel Orange Fizz because I just kept think it wasn't all that unique. While I like Chanel's formula most of the time, I wouldn't say it's the best formula out there as far as wear on ME. But it's head and shoulders above some.

The other day, I finally decided to go ahead and get it and stop picking it up and putting it down every time I was at the Chanel counter.

Chanel released Orange Fizz as part of their Summer 2009 collection, but it's now in the permanent collection. They described it as coral, but if it is, it's an orange coral...minimal pink. It's soft, but at the same time, bright. It photographs a teensy bit darker than it wears, which is unfortunate for me because it does give me a little bit of what I call "dirty hands" because of my light complexion. It's a pretty creme, applied fairly smoothly and took three coats to achieve full opacity. But even after having it now and wearing it, I must say I was right about it not being all that unique. But if you're a Chanel collector, you'll definitely want it.

All photos are with three light coats and no top coat. (The 3rd photo is the most color accurate.)

  2. I am a sucker for orange cremes so of course I own Orange Fizz and I more or less have the same feelings that you have.
It's not that I don't like it, and I actually think it is pretty, but I feel like if there was something missing in this polish to make it a "wow" color. So in the end when I want an orange I generally end up reaching for other ones.
I still wear it from time to time though, but that is usually when I need a color that is a little bit softer than all the bright oranges that I own.
