Milani Pink Flare One Coat Glitter - Swatches and Review

If you've been reading long, you'll know I'm not a huge glitter fan. But the Milani One Coat Glitters looked fairly tame compared to some, so I thought I'd give it a try.  I was wearing Illamasqua Purity so I picked Pink Flare to layer over it since the rest seemed pretty bold. (Yes, I bought one of every color they had!)

The application was actually good - no issues with the formula or having to worry about "placing" glitter pieces. I used two light coats and a coat of Seche Vite over it. I was going to whip out the Gelous, but it was barely rough at all, so Seche worked just fine. I actually kind of love it!

I also picked up a few in Milani's Jewel FX Collection so I used Jewel FX Fuchsia on my ring finger as an accent.

Milani polishes are available at select drugstores, grocery stores and online at MilaniCosmetics.com. Retail prices vary - I've purchased them between $1.99 and $5.99. Tonight I had coupons for $1.50 off and saved $27.00 off the total!  You can't beat that with a stick!

Have you used these yet? Are you a glitter fan?

  1. Very nice! I didn't know there is a pink. I have red, gold, silver, purple, not sure what else, but no pink. I'll have to look for it. I really like the Milani One Coat Glitters. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I don't know where you are, but in Texas, we have H.E.B. grocery stores - some regular and some are the H.E.B. Plus (like Super Walmart.) I am always finding the biggest selection of Milanis there.

  2. I was just looking at the link to their site you posted. I see they have 3 new colors. I have all of them except those 3 new ones. I'll have to place an order now. HAHA! I always use the Seche Vite and sometimes it works well over glitter and sometimes it doesn't. Where do you get the Gelous you mentioned?

    1. Bubblewrapper is right! It's sold at Sally Beauty Supply. I picked up Lavender Fizz, Pink Flare, Purple Gleam, Red Sparkle, Silver Dazzle and Twinkle in the One Coat Glitters and Gold, Silver, Teal, Red, Hot Pink and Lavender in the Jewel FX Collection...and a few more in the Fast Dry Line. I mean, it was on SALE. I had to. =)

  3. I love glitter. I am on more of a holo kick right now, but I still remember putting Absolutely Alice on and making a whoowee sound. That color looks nice on you and it's good to change things up from time to time. Kim, I think Gelous is sold at Sally's Beauty.

    1. Yes, at Sally Beauty - THANKS! I'd use Gelous for glitters like Lynnderellas and such. Something screwy happened with my internet when I tried to answer.

  5. YOu know me! I LOVE Glitter! The chunkier the better! All it takes is one Sheila! :o) If you like those Milani's, you might check out Nina Ultra Pro's Glamrock and Purple X-ing. There is one more that I haven't bought yet, but I forgot the name. They are one coaters and resemble this one. Glamrock is a charcoal colored one. I bought them at Sally's.
