Sorry I've been MIA for the last two days. The weather is wreaking havoc with my sinuses I guess. It's been Headache Central around here. But the one I have to show you today was worth the wait!
Most of you know I'm a confirmed green-lover. How I didn't have butter LONDON's British Racing Green before now is beyond me. I think I may have been a little gun-shy after NARS Night Porter. It was WAY too dark on me and any interesting shimmer it may have had was lost in the darkness. Enter British Racing Green to save the day, er, uh...to Save the Green!
This one is gorgeous! It's just dark enough to be vampy and sexy but still light enough to let the green shimmer inside to glow. It applied like a dream and was fully opaque in two coats. As with all butter LONDON polishes, the outer cap comes off revealing the smaller, easy-to-grip brush wand. The brush is small and round but cut well so I needed no clean up. I'm showing this one with and without top coat. I'm also using butter LONDON's base and top coats for the first time. So far I'm liking them. The base was great and so far I like the top coat too. But to be fair, I'm giving it the wear test and I'll report back.
Yes, I realize I post too many photos, but when I'm looking at swatches online to decide what I want, I appreciate as many views in different lighting as possible. So I do that here as well. Besides, who doesn't love nail polish p0rn?

So there you have it. Pretty much speaks for itself. I think it's a gorgeous and interesting green.
butter LONDON polishes are available at
butterlondon.com and selected retail stores like ULTA and they retail for $14.00 for .4 ounces. To stay up-to-date on special deals and offers, you can
"like" them on Facebook here. British Racing Green is just one of the over 60 colors they offer, in addition to various indulgences for your hands and feet...and even your lips. The nail lacquers are 3-free and butter LONDON is a Cruelty-Free company. That's a major plus for me.
What do you think? Have it already? Like it?

ReplyDeleteI just recently came across your blog, but I must say that I love it. Also, your dogs are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI just recently got my first Butter nail polish and I have to admit that I absolutely adore it. It prompted me to go out and buy 4 more. British Racing Green was one I was keeping my eye on and your post makes me definitely want to add it to my collection in the near future.
This is one of my favorite greens. The first time I wore it I added a matte coat and the color was amazing!
ReplyDeleteI bet that was gorgeous! I will try it!
DeleteI love this! The subtle shimmer is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colour! I've wanted to try Butter London and I think that this would be one of the polishes I'd get first from them! Such a fantastic shade- rich and dark but not too dark. Plus the shimmer is nice too :D
ReplyDeleteI have it and love it!! BRG is gorgie.
ReplyDeleteAmazing colour!
ReplyDeleteSoooo gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI bought this one at christmas and I love the colour very much but it chipped within 3 days and it was really obvious because it's such a dark colour. Did it do that to you??
