Today I have the other half of Zoya's Summer 2012 Beach and Surf Collection...Zoya Beach!
I reviewed the Surf Collection here. The Beach Collection contains the cremes. Well, 5 of the 6 are cremes. One has a lovely shimmer/frost-like finish...but we'll get to that.

L to R: Reagan, Lara, Shelby, Arizona, Tracie and Wednesday |
Aren't they pretty??
I'm going to be showing you several shots of each in various lighting and I need, once again, to apologize for my "spring cleaning" cuticles. Don't let them distract you from the beautiful colors!
One of these was a one-coater and the rest are two coats for full opacity. I did have a bit of difficulty working with the formula on these, which is very unlike most of my Zoyas. I did no clean-up, as usual, to show the true ease of application and as you can see, the formula is still good, not bad. Just different. However, if you use one thin coat and one medium coat and don't mess with them or try to over-manipulate them, you shouldn't have any issues. And now that I know that, I won't either for the future.
I live near the beach and where it's practically summer year-round, and when I saw this collection I thought of this...growing wild right out my front door.

Hello, Summer! |
First up, the one-coater...
Zoya Reagan. Reagan is a medium to dark toned fuchsia creme. I used one coat and had zero application issues. Very nice.

Zoya Arizona compared to Zoya Jancyn |
Arizona is just the tiniest it lighter than Jancyn. BARELY. I'd had a request to show them together and I will always try to accommodate if I can!
Zoya Tracie. Tracie is a yellow-toned pistachio green with a bit of frosty shimmer. It's not so frosty as to be streaky though. Finishes nicely. You can see the streak of frost/shimmer in the bottle in the photos.

Zoya Tracie with Zoya Midori accent for comparison |
Again, per request, I'm showing another Zoya (Midori) with Tracie. As you can see, they're totally different, but they do play well together quite well!
Zoya Wednesday. Wednesday is a mid-toned greenish turquoise creme. Very beachy! I had the most difficulty with this one probably because I used it first and hadn't yet learned not to over-manipulate it. I think if you're careful, it could be a one-coater.

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.. I'm in Canada and still waiting for Nailpolishcanada to get these in (it's taking forever for some reason!), and I had convinced myself over the course of the long wait that I only wanted Rory and Zuza. Now, your swatches are making me need the ENTIRE 12-pieces of Beach & Surf, even the ones I'm sure I have dupes of!! Gorgeous photos! :D
