Today I have Zoya's Surf Collection 2012 to show you. I've been so excited about this collection in particular and Zoya didn't disappoint!
|
L to R: Zoya Carly, Kimber, Rory, Myrta, Meg and Zuza |
All six of these went on like a dream and all photos are shown with no clean up. Three of the six are one-coaters!
Let's just dive right in! (Get it? Surf Collection? Nevermind. 0_o)
Zoya Carly is a red-based purple shimmer/foil and is fully opaque in ONE coat. Here I'm showing just one coat with topcoat.

Zoya Kimber is a bit more difficult to describe. It's a pinkish red with a golden shimmer that blends to flash orange in certain lights. It's a shimmer/*almost* foil that applied easily and was fully opaque in two coats.

Zoya Rory is a mauve/pink/lilac shimmery silver-based foil. It's just stunning! Two coats for full opacity and no issues with application at all.

Zoya Myrta is FIRE, bay-bee! I thought this might be my least favorite of the six and oddly it turned out to be my favorite! It's an orange coral with red undertones - another foil. The depth of color on this one is just astonishing. And it's a one-coater! Shown here with one coat, no clean up and a top coat. Perfection.

Zoya Meg is a yellow-based grass green foil that's the third one coater of the bunch. I do so love green. Great application and fully opaque in one coat. No issues to report at all.

And finally...Zoya Zuza. Zuza is a greenish blue foil/shimmer that reminds me of the ocean. This one is two coats to full opacity and the only one that wasn't formula-perfection. It's not bad by any stretch, but after swatching the other five, this one was a bit thicker and just slightly gloopy. It still applies easily as long as you apply one thin coat and one medium coat and don't fuss with it. It doesn't like to be fussed with. It's a stunning color, but my least favorite of the six. After I show you photos of Zuza, I'll show you how it compares to Charla because so many have inquired about that.

And now photos comparing Zuza to Charla. They complement each other quite well, don't you think?
