There are several options: Flipcard, Classic, Magazine, Mosaic, Sidebar, Snapshot and Timeslide. I've chosen to leave mine with Flipcard for now. Click my tab that says Snapshot Photo Gallery under the header photo on the right to see what I'm talking about.
Below are a couple of different views:
This is the Tab on my blog |
This is the Snapshot view. Clicking on any pic brings up the entire blog post. Where it says "Snapshot" is the pull-down menu for the other choices. |
This is the Flipcard view. Hovering over any pic "flips" it over to reveal the polish name and post date. Click on the pic and it brings up the entire post. |
How COOL is that?
It's very easy to do. Just make sure you're in the new blogger interface and go to "add a page," but instead of choosing Blank Page, choose "link" and put your bloglink with /view/snapshot (mine is http//:pointlesscafe.com/view/flipcard.) Now when anyone clicks on that tab, they can see the alternate view. Clicking on the Blog Title returns it to regular view. You might find Sarah's instructions a little more clear so go check her out!
If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!
That is freakin' awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you so, so much for telling me about this!!!! :D This is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis is AMAZING, and because of the awesome flippin cards I found a post of yours that most likely I would have never found otherwise!!! ;-))
ReplyDeleteAnd I seriously need to do that for my blog too!!!
I do However find a small downside although I seriously wonder if maybe i'm missing something? when in the flip-card view, I can get to the post but not to comment on it. Is it me or this is how it is built?
That is cool! I think I will try something like that for my blog also.
ReplyDeleteThis is brill. I've added this and done a blog including a link to your blog and this post :) x
ReplyDeleteHow cool!!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you thank you!!! SOOO cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great feature and I would never have known without you! Thank you soooo much!
ReplyDeleteI followed your instructions and I installed it.
It's a pity that it puts all your posts in the same album (I would have liked to do one gallery for outfit posts and a separate one for nail polish posts).
Also, you say you have chosen to leave it to Flipcard, does anybody know how to make the Flipcard option the default setting that so that when visitors go to the photogallery it already appears in Flipcard instead of Classic (which I find a bit messy)?
Thanks!
