More Nails Inc. Love with Victoria, Tate, Fouberts Place & Fulham Palace Road

As promised, more Nails Inc. tonight!

First up, Nails Inc. Victoria. This one is a jelly AND a "vamp" so it's not really my cup of tea. It's gorgeous and "squishy" like any good jelly and very vampy. The formula was good and application was easy considering jellies don't really like me. BUT because it's a jelly, you have to put in the time. These swatches are with 4 coats and NO top coat and it's so vampy that I nearly slipped into a 1940s film noir coma!

Next up is my favorite of the 4 I am showing you tonight...Foubert's Place. This one is harder to describe than you would think because it reads differently in different lighting.  Sitting on my shelf next to its buddies, it looks like a deep grey creme. In natural lighting, it reads as a medium to dark olive/khaki green creme. In extreme artificial lighting, it reads as a warm taupe/mushroom creme. I've tried to capture its many personalities in the photos below but I wasn't able to capture the grey. I used two coats and NO top coat.

Next is Fulham Palace Road. This one is a great color and I love it. Sadly, it doesn't love me. It gives me both "dirty hands" and "lobster hands" at the same time! Fulham Palace Road is a light beige/putty creme. It actually does remind me of Silly Putty in most lighting. Opaque in 2 coats - perfect creamy, smooth formula. Shown here with 2 coats and NO top coat.

Nails Inc. Fulham Palace Road (this is in warm artificial lighting and if it looked
like this on me all day in every lighting situation, I'd never take it off.
Sadly it doesn't.)

And finally, TATE!  Tate is a gorgeous deep blue-based red crelly. It's opaque in 2 coats but still retains a little bit of a jelly look and finish. When my nails are this long, I tend to use 3 coats, but I've only used two for these photos. And NO top coat. It really is THAT shiny on its own. But you will need a top coat to keep it from dulling after day one of wear. Great formula.

As light as my skin is, this is about as VAMP as I feel comfortable with. It's such a sexy, lusty red. The first 3 photos are in artificial light and it washes out a bit. The last 3 are in indirect natural light and this is how it looks when I wear it 99% of the time. If I take photos of it with flash/in a light box, it shows true-to-color like the last three photos. Unfortunately, I had "technical difficulties" with the light box. (I accidentally sat on it and I have to make another one. YES, sat on it. Shut UP! I was trying not to step on the dog and fell back into it.)

So what do you think? Do you have any of these? Which is your favorite?

Nails Inc. polishes are available in limited colors in the US at Sephora.com and a few other e-tailers. Unfortunately, the NailsInc.com site in the UK doesn't ship to the US...yet.

  5. I'm so glad that my namesake polish (Victoria) is such a gorgeous one. Yes, four coats is a pig but it is worth it.
