Birthday Mani and Other Stuff

Yesterday was my birthday. Not a fan of birthdays.

HOWEVER, this one was pretty good!

Very thoughtful friends sent me all sorts of goodies, not the least among them - TELL CITY PRETZELS. Tell City, Indiana is my home town and I grew up on the best pretzels in the world. I'm pretty much homesick every day I'm in Texas that it's over 80 degrees, or when I see grass or real trees. Or Tell City Pretzels.  Ashley searched them out and had them send me a goodie box 'o goodness. X-tra Salt, of course! Thanks Ashley!

Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of my "birthday pie" or the balloons my sweetie arranged for me, but I did get a pic of the lovely roses...

And the vehicle I *might* get for my birthday. I test drove it, but I'm still not 100% sold. We will see...

Out the window of the restaurant where he took me for a lovely dinner...

And birthday cocktails, of course...

After all of that, I was too tired to change my mani so I just embellished it.

I was already wearing Sinful Colors Neon Fusion, which I put on BEFORE all the hullabaloo. Of course the hullabaloo to which I refer is the uproar over Sinful Colors (now owned by Revlon) stealing blogger photos for their little brochure being distributed in their new displays. Not only did they STEAL the photos, they cropped out watermarks in one case and PHOTOSHOPPED OUT watermarks in another. To top it off, they used a stamped manicure to show consumers how easy a "swirl manicure" is with a toothpick. Um, 'scuse me, but you cant achieve the look they showed with a toothpick. AND no Sinful Colors polishes were used to create the mislabeled STOLEN manicure anyway. Yes, the blogger community is in quite an uproar over it all.

ANYWAY, I layered Milani Hipster Plum over the ring finger and did some fun dots.

And that's not even mentioning the TARDIS teapot I blogged about before or the AWESOME bottle of Dior Liquorice from my friend Kim. And I haven't even blogged about the awesome Dollish Polishes I received from my friend Jen at Jen's Polish Wonderland.

And the lovely polishes and goodies from my friend Jin all the way from ISRAEL!

And Jen sent me China Glaze Jungle Queen...

Another friend, Gina, sent me a lovely RAOK (Random Act of Kindness) with not one but TWO versions of Puccilicious!

I did a comparison post here.

Yeah, this one didn't suck. At. All.

But I'm glad it's over for another year!
