Zoya Designers Collection for NYFW 2012 - Swatches and Review

I'm sure you have been seeing swatches pop up from the new Zoya Designers and Divas Collections for NYFW 2012 on the internet, as have I. But I really didn't fully appreciate them until I started trying them out. Zoya NEVER disappoints!

Zoya Designers and Divas Collections for NYFW 2012

Zoya Gloss Trio with Paloma, Katherine and Frida

Since this is going to be a long post as is it, I'm only going to be showing you the Designers Collection today with a few Glosses tossed in. See the Divas Collection here.

Zoya Designers Collection: Rekha, Toni, Monica, Natty, Evvie and Noot

The formula and application was the same on all six of these. Thinner than I expected but perfect application and two coats for opacity on all of them. The trick with these is to make sure to almost unload your brush completely before starting and then I found that I still had enough polish on the brush for two nails! I thought they were going to be too thin but the second coat worked its magic and the finish was perfect and glossy on all of them.  All photos are with two coats of color and no top coat.

------------------------------------------

Rekha is a medium dark blue-base red creme. Blood red!

And this is what Rekha looks like with the Gloss Trio...

----------------------------------------------------

Toni is a dusty, mulberry/raisin creme with warm undertones.

Monica is a lovely blue-toned purple creme with cool undertones.

Natty is a dusty steel blue with strong grey undertones.

Evvie is a grey-based green with some slight blue undertones. This one was previously release as part of Zoya's Peter Som Designer Collection.

And finally Noot. Noot is a deep grey-based army green creme. In most lighting, this one looks to ME like Dior Perfecto with green added in. Gorgeous!

And here is Noot compared to Evvie...

Overall, there's not ONE of these that I didn't love. Before I tried them, I would have thought my favorite would have been either of the purples but Noot came from behind and stole my heart.

I am not sure which of those I will end up buying because I would love to see the shimmer/metallic ones first, but a MUST IMO are Evvie and Rekha, and I definitely need the Gloss Trio...
Your swatches look so juicy that I seriously think I would need them all...

    1. I have Sooki too and it's an orange-based jelly or crelly while this is a more blue-based blood red creme. I much prefer this to Sooki. IMO they are different enough to have both. But consider the source when taking advice from be about whether you need BOTH of something! Hahaha!

  7. I have all three of the glosses and have used them for jelly sandwiches but never thought of applying them over a creme ... Great idea and so pretty! I will be trying this myself with some of my Zoya's which just happens to be my new favorite brand of polish! I absolutely adore Zoya!!!Thank you for this post ! I am a very big fan of your blog!!

  10. I noticed that you didn't layer the glosses over Evvie. I would have loved to see that since it is so much lighter than Noot.
