It's Sunday evening and I'm playin' with polish, of course. I'm going to show you a non-holo Catherine Arley this time. Catherine Arley is a Turkish brand and polish isn't allowed to be shipped out of Turkey anymore. So your best bet to get your hands on these at the moment is through blogs sales - or to have a friend in Bulgaria. There's a store there who sells them and will ship internationally, but I've heard horror stories about the lack of packing materials and broken polishes. So the search continues for a reliable on-line store...I will keep you posted. The holos really are AWESOME but discontinued. But this polish isn't bad.
#946 is a red jelly full of red and gold sparkle. Not sure if it's glass fleck or just micro glitter but it really screams Christmas to me. Application was okay - it's a jelly, which isn't my all-time favorite formula, but it was almost opaque in two coats. I say "almost" because once I took the photos, I noticed some more sheer patches on several of the nails. So I'm going to call this one a 3-coater even though I've only used two. I did use a coat of Poshe to finish it off.

What do you think of this one? Too much like polishes you already have? I do think it's worth it if you can grab it cheaply in a blog sale though.
If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!
.
It's pretty but it does scream Christmas - and as much as I used to live for sparkly reds, I am kind of over them. But the squishy finish does set this one apart from a lot of the others.
ReplyDeleteI don't many polishes like this (my stash is still growing)…but I guess plenty of people do. It is gorgeous though!
ReplyDeleteI love it, but anything that screams "Christmas!" is already a hit in my book ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous red, and I would definitely buy it if I had the chance :)
ReplyDeleteIf i have to be honest, i have something close already. But i really love it and i always prefer to try something new over getting backups ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo i will look out for this one for sure!
Thanks!!!
Amazing color! A trip to Turkey maybe...
ReplyDeleteThis is a beauty! I adore reds and have collected them for eons. It's the 1 shade that when I purge my collection, many of the reds always stay. They usually are timeless. I don't think I have ever seen a true red glassfleck until someone posted on their blog one made in Spain. But I can see where you are not sure if this is a red glassfeck or a shimmer. Hard most certainly to tell from these photos despite your photos are terrific! I would so love to get my hands on this lovely polish.
