Sinful Colors Metallics |
Sinful Colors Metallics: L-R Moss Have, Hot Wired, Heavy Metal and Hot Hot Heat |
Sinful Colors: L-R Precious Metal, Zincing of You, Super Nova and Gone Platinum |
My quick first thoughts:
Gone Platinum - Violet Purple - 2 coats for opacity - more of a frosty look than a metallic
Heavy Metal - Sliver - 2 coats for opacity
Precious Metal - Blue - 3 coats for opacity
Moss Have - Green - 2 coats for opacity - more of a frosty look than a metallic
Hot Wired - Grey - 3 coats for opacity
Super Nova - Rose Gold - 2 coats for opacity
Zincing of You - Taupe - 3 coats for opacity
Hot Hot Heat - Red - 2 coats for opacity
So what do you think of these? I'm not a huge fan of metallics (or frosts) but overall, these weren't bad. The red was similar to butter LONDON Knees up only a darker, deeper red.
Quick and dirty comparison swatch...

These are available at Walgreens and wherever Sinful Colors polishes are sold and retail for $1.99 for a full .5 oz bottle.

How are they as a stamping polish?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried but I think the red, green and purple would be good. The others wouldn't.
DeleteActually the silver and rose gold *might* be okay. The others are too sheer.
DeleteHow do you think super nova compares to penny talk?
ReplyDeletePenny Talk is more of a smoother looking chrome polish and Super Nova has more of a textured metallic look.
DeleteGorgeous polishes! I just dislike how metallics look on me :(
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask the same thing Chameleon! :D
ReplyDeleteMy Walmart started selling Sinfuls too!!!! I might need that red!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics! I was wondering how the red would compare with Knees Up! LOL
ReplyDeleteHow does the red compare to Sally Hansen Red Carpet or China Glaze Ruby Pumps?
ReplyDeleteI don't have Red Carpet, but Ruby Pumps isn't a metallic and this one is.
DeleteI need that red! But will pass on the rest. Not a big fan of metallics or frosties.
ReplyDeleteI like metallics, but I was surprised to read that the dark blue needs three coats to be opaque. It's should be possible to make the formula so it needed maximum 2 coats for opacity. It's a dark colour after all.
ReplyDeleteI think they look alright but with the other metallics out they don't compare! However I'm sure I'll be picking up a few of these
ReplyDeleteThese look lovely but I think I have dupes of most colours. xo
ReplyDeleteHot Hot Heat is gorgeous! Would love to have it in my collection!
ReplyDeleteLove these. Bought a few yesterday. Have u seen the soya bogo?
ReplyDeleteoh I just picked this whole line up the other day. Such beautiful colors, thanks for the swatches!
