The Nail Junkie Snake - Swatches and Review

Today I have Snake from The Nail Junkie's Animals Polish Line.

Aleta, creator of The Nail Junkie, has a spot-on description of Snake:  A deep emerald polish with all the color and texture of a fine snakeskin handbag, without the cruelty. Snake is a blend of brown glitter, gold diamond glitter, super fine green glitter custom blended into a rich emerald shimmery base. Aleta test her polishes for months before ever releasing them for sale. They are 3-free and cruelty-free and contain only stainless steel mixing balls.

Her packaging is always lovely and I received some polish removal felts and a mini Cutie Balm for cuticles. You may remember how I raved about her Cutie Balm the last time! This polish applied smoothly and I used two coats. The gold diamond glitters have a "reflective curl" but they do lie flat on the nail. The key for application with this one is to use two THIN coats. It's so jam-packed with glitter that trying to apply one thick coat would be too much. I didn't feel the need to try and "place glitters" as with some glitter polishes. There are plenty to go around! I used a coat of Gelous on top and then a coat of Poshe top coat to finish it off.
