30 Day Challenge Day Nine - Rainbow Nails

Hard as I try with nail art, I'm still hit and miss. I'm proud when I can show you the "hits" so I figured it was only fair to show you the "misses" too. Plus I just didn't have it in my to re-try. Tonight was a miss.

When I saw that today was RAINBOW NAILS day, I decided to give this one a shot because it looked SO COOL when Jacki over at Adventures in Acetone did it (click here to see hers) - she called it a "spun sugar" mani and it looked awesome. Unfortunately, I didn't pull it off like she did. I guess I don't have the patience required and mine is gloppy. But I will try it again!

  1. I think it still looks fun! I'm thinking of trying this technique for one of the days too.

  2. I would love to try this technique but I don't think I have the patience. Maybe I'll try an accent nail. LOL And I don't think it was a fail, I think it is great for your first attempt!

  3. I actually like this! Yeah it's a little gloppy but doesn't it just look like kiddie fingerpaint rainbows or something?

I wouldn't be able to wear anything with this technique though... I'm a picker at any texture on my nails.

  6. I really like it, definitely something different and that's one reason I like, I don't know if it will work on my shorter nails though!

  12. I still think it looks good! I've tried the same technique before but I only did one colour on one finger as an accent because it took so long to do!

  13. I don't think it looks gloppy at all. Certainly it's as well done as the one you linked to and I like the colors better. However, I think if I tried it I would end up chewing a few of my fingers off in frustration!
