When I saw that today was RAINBOW NAILS day, I decided to give this one a shot because it looked SO COOL when Jacki over at Adventures in Acetone did it (click here to see hers) - she called it a "spun sugar" mani and it looked awesome. Unfortunately, I didn't pull it off like she did. I guess I don't have the patience required and mine is gloppy. But I will try it again!

I think it still looks fun! I'm thinking of trying this technique for one of the days too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this technique but I don't think I have the patience. Maybe I'll try an accent nail. LOL And I don't think it was a fail, I think it is great for your first attempt!
ReplyDeleteI actually like this! Yeah it's a little gloppy but doesn't it just look like kiddie fingerpaint rainbows or something?
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to wear anything with this technique though... I'm a picker at any texture on my nails.
OMG Sheila, this looks SO damn good ♥ LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is a miss at all. I think it looks beautiful! I adore rainbows and I love the nails:)
ReplyDeleteI really like it, definitely something different and that's one reason I like, I don't know if it will work on my shorter nails though!
ReplyDeleteI like it. It has a cool look to it Sheila; kinda 3-D!!
ReplyDeleteAll it needs is a butt-load of top coat and you're good to go!! LOL
I love this! I think it looks really good. I want to try it, but I don't think it would turn out this well & I don't have the patience.
ReplyDeleteJeeze you're hard on yourself:). It looks great and very much in the spirit of the theme! xx
ReplyDeleteOMG this is really great!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I really like this manicure! The design is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletei love them! The effect is really cool and the design is very originial!

I still think it looks good! I've tried the same technique before but I only did one colour on one finger as an accent because it took so long to do!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it looks gloppy at all. Certainly it's as well done as the one you linked to and I like the colors better. However, I think if I tried it I would end up chewing a few of my fingers off in frustration!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks really cool. I love how bright and happy it looks. Just needs a big dose of top coat!
