Sugar House Lane is an opaque glitter polish. Taupe base with black, white and silver microglitter. The first coat gives sparse glitters and the second coat gives the glitter payoff. I used two coats for opacity. The base actually covers the glitter pieces for the most part, which is actually something I like. Probably most people will be disappointed that the glitters are somewhat muted - especially the silver ones. Again, something I like, something most people won't. This is a very top coat hungry polish. I first used two coats of Poshe and it still had that bumpy feel. I followed up with a coat of Gelous, which made it *almost* smooth to the touch, but not quite. The final look reminded me of a Corian kitchen countertop.

What do you think of this one? Which of the Sprinkles line is your favorite?
A limited selection of Nails Inc polishes are available through Amazon.com or Sephora.com for around $9.50 in the US and the entire line is available through Nails Inc's own site nailsinc.com for around £11.00. Nails Inc. doesn't ship to the US so I'm ever thankful to my UK buddies for keeping me supplied.

I like this one more than I thought I would. The color looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI don't like how the glitter is so buried. It looks cool but not sure I would purchase it. I love how it reminds me of the Mexican cookies and cream paletas though lol
ReplyDeleteI love this one! Taupe, and black & white glitter....both things are def on trend right now!
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful on you!!!! And I love muted glitter, also because I can wear them to work :-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't worn this one yet, but I have a feeling it will end up being my favourite from the Sprinkles line — it definitely is from the swatches I've seen. I just think it's so unique, a taupe base with neutral glitters! I haven't even seen that from an indie brand. And I like how some of the glitter hides under the base, I think it adds depth.
ReplyDeleteYour swatches make me want to get this out of my untrieds and wear it!
