Girly Bits Fathomless - Swatches and Review

MORE Girly Bits you say? No problem!

This evening, I have another one of her Winter 2012 Collection (Season of Sparkle) polishes to show you - Fathomless! This one was an early release for the collection and is still currently available on her Big Cartel shop.

Fathomless is a deep teal, with glowy blue/green micro glitters that peek through the jelly lacquer. Application was fantastic on this one and you guys know that jelly hadn't been my favorite nail polish finish. But I used 3 easy coats to build the color and I love the way it turned out. I didn't have to do anything special and had no cuticle drag or issues at all. The photos are with 3 coats of Fathomless and no top coat.

When I started this blog, well when I switched it more to nail polish that is, I had certain things set in my head. "I hate glitter. I hate jellies. I hate blue."  Boy how things change! I've been rocking the glitterbombs, wearing blue and now I'm falling in love with jellies. I always liked the look of them but I really hated the application. This one went on just like a creme! Smooth and easy. I really liked it and it had just the right amount of glitter. Perfection. What do you think of it?

All Girly Bits Lacquers are hand poured, using the highest quality ingredients including B3Free lacquer base, mica, pigments and glitters.
Fathomless is cruelty free and not tested on animals. It comes in a standard full size 15ml bottle embellished with a genuine Swarovski crystal, and contains two stainless steel beads to help keep your product mixed.

Girly Bits polishes are available on Big Cartel and are also available at Overall BeautyMeiMei's SignaturesHarlow & Co. and  llarowe.com for $10 to $13 retail for full .5 oz bottles. Girly Bits Eggnogoholic - Swatches and Review

Are you ready for some Girly Bits? *grin*

Today I have one of her Winter 2012 Collection (Season of Sparkle) polishes to show you - Eggnogoholic! This is a winter white base with gold glitter pieces. Application was smooth and easy and I had no issues at all. I liked how some of the glitters are covered by each layer and the last coat lets them shine - gives it so much depth. This one is a jelly/crelly but was opaque for me in 3 light coats. One coat of Poshe on top.

What do you think of this one? White really looks horrible on me, so this "winter white" I'm seeing lately is welcome because it actually allows ME to wear white without looking like a total zombie. More please!

Ninja Polish Holiday 2012 - Part 5 of 5

This evening, I am concluding my multi-part series of blog posts on Ninja Polish's Holiday 2012 Collection! There are 10 polishes in this collection and this post contains the last two.

To see Part 1 (Sapphire Dreams, Hanukkah Floam and Candy Cane Floam) click here.
To see Part 2 (No Peeking! and Melted Snowman) click here.
To see Part 3 (Tree of Lights and Festive Floam) click here.
To see Part 4 (First Snow) click here.

Tonight I have for you His Nose So Bright and Shattered Star.

His Nose So Bright is described by the maker as various sized bright red glitters with a hint of red holographic sparkle. This polish covers the nail completely in 2-3 coats, or you can use it to layer. I've layered this one over Illamasqua Throb, a plain red creme, on all but the ring finger where I'm showing you two coats of His Nose So Bright alone so you can see it is opaque in 2-3 coats, just as stated! I followed up with one coat of Gelous on this one. No issues at all. Smooth and easy application.

Shattered Star is described by the maker as various sizes of holographic and metallic gold and silver glitters....and in all aspects looks like a shattered star! This polish can cover your nail in 2-3 coats, but can be fabulous as a layering polish! I really loved this one more than I ever thought I would! I layered it over Borghese Lira and covered with one coat of Poshe top coat. No issues at all to report. Application was smooth and easy.

So that's all ten of Ninja Polish's Holiday 2012 Collection. What do you think? Which are your favorites? I think First Snow, Shattered Star and Melted Snowman are my favorites.

Also from Ninja Polish: These are seasonal edition polishes. They will be restocked throughout the season while supplies last. Polishes from seasonal edition collection *may* return again at a later time and should not be considered *Limited* edition unless otherwise noted.

You can follow Ninja Polish on Facebook to stay up-to-date on restock information and specials and you can go to their site and click to be notified via email of restocks. Most of this collection is still in stock right now.

Ninja Polish Holiday 2012 - Part 4 of 5

This morning I am continuing a multi-part series of blog posts on Ninja Polish's Holiday 2012 Collection! There are 10 polishes in this collection and I'll be showing all of them to you over the next several days.

To see Part 1 (Sapphire Dreams, Hanukkah Floam and Candy Cane Floam) click here.
To see Part 2 (No Peeking! and Melted Snowman) click here.
To see Part 3 (Tree of Lights and Festive Floam) click here.

This morning I am showing you just one because it's one of my favorites of the collection and it's almost impossible to capture how pretty it is, so I've taken too many photos in my attempt - over several colors: First Snow.

First Snow is described by the maker as follows: The first snow of the year is always referred to as the 'magic snow'....I hope you find this polish as magical as this season's first snow. It is comprised of various shades and opacities of white glitter with a sprinkling of soft purple iridescent glitters to represent that magical sparkle of the freshly fallen snow! This polish can cover your nail in 2-3 coats, but can be fabulous as a layering polish! Seriously, that purple sparkle she mentions really makes this polish so special and unless you see this one in person it's just hard to explain. Maybe if I were a better photographer...sigh. This is like the floam polishes in application...goes on easily and I have no issues to report (except removal, which is the only downfall of a "floam" polish IMO.)

First up - I've layered it over AquaDaisy Shazaam as an accent...

Next is over Zoya Dove with a plain white creme on the accent finger...

And finally, layered over IsaDora Diamond Blue...

Well this makes eight of the ten polishes in this collection - what do you think so far? Stay tuned for the last two polishes coming up this evening!

Ninja Polish Holiday 2012 - Part 3 of 5

This morning I am continuing a multi-part series of blog posts on Ninja Polish's Holiday 2012 Collection! There are 10 polishes in this collection and I'll be showing all of them to you over the next several days.

To see Part 1 (Sapphire Dreams, Hanukkah Floam and Candy Cane Floam) click here.
To see Part 2 (No Peeking! and Melted Snowman) click here.

Right now I have Tree of Lights and Festive Floam for you...

Tree of Lights is described by the maker as an elegant evergreen glitter polish with a sprinkling of holographic gold, representing the sparkling of lights on the traditional Christmas Tree. This polish will keep you sparkling and elegant at the same time! This polish can be worn alone, as I've shown on my thumb nail - two coats and one coat of Poshe, or layered, as I've shown on my fingers over a plain green creme (Sinful Colors Exotic Green) - one coat with one coat of Poshe on top. No issues at all - perfect formula.

Festive Floam is described by the maker here: As part of the Floam polish family, it contains fine Red, Green and White matte glitters to celebrate the traditional colors of the Christmas Holiday. This Floam is perfect for giving your nails a quick, easy and super festive manicure! This one applies like the rest of the Floam polishes - easy peasy! (Removal, however...well, removal is hard, but it's worth it!) This can be worn alone as well but I've layered it over Sinful Colors Exotic Green on the middle finger and Sinful Colors Innocent on the other fingers so you could see all three colors. One coat of Gelous on top, but a 2nd coat is recommended as the Floam polishes tend to be a bit top coat hungry.

Well this makes seven of the ten polishes in this collection - what do you think so far? Stay tuned for the remaining three polishes coming up in the next day or so!
