Happy New Year! Roundup and Resolutions

Well I hope New Year's Day isn't an indication of how the rest of the year will be because I have (dun dun dun) Pneumonia. Joy.

But I did want to write down a few of my goals for the blog for the new year and show you a few of my most popular posts for 2012. As you guys know, nail art isn't my forte but I had a lot of fun doing the 30 Day Challenge earlier this year and while my skills aren't much past kindergarten level, you can't get better if you don't practice, right?

Here are a few of my attempts at nail art.

Let's start with my favorite mani of 2012 that I did - not perfect, but I was actually proud of this one. It's a sponge gradient on all fingers with freehanded "butterfly wings" - only later did I find out there's a STAMP for this. UGH!

Butterfly Wings

And part of the 30 day challenge I completed (as in I actually FINISHED it - WOOT!!!) included these:

Tartan Nails
Leopard freehand for Animal Print Inspiration Day
Doctor Who

Fashion Inspired - Hermes

Art Inspired - Pop Art

Supernatural Inspired - Twilight Zone

Flag Nails

Texas

Scottish Saltire

Ireland

Union Flag - Brittain

Book Inspiration - IT by Stephen King

Movie Inspiration - Man in the Grey Flannel Suit

A few Water Marble attempts...

And Galaxy Nails

Galaxy or Nebula or Space Nails

So you see, I HAVE been trying! But in 2013, my goal is to try a lot more nail art and hopefully get a lot better at it.

My most viewed/popular posts of 2012? Well storage topped the list. I made some simple wall shelves and these posts were among my most viewed posts for 2012. Nail Polish Storage Solutions (Part 1) and Nail Polish Storage Part Deux and Nail Polish Storage and Collection 2.0.

Also getting top views for 2012, piCture pOlish Blogfest 2012, Enchanted Polish's Ho Ho Holoday Collection and Falloween Collection. As well as Chanel FNO 2012, Chanel Malice and Dior Dune and Trench and Diorific Le Grand Bal. You also didn't discriminate based on labels and viewed Revlon, Sinful Colors and Pure Ice posts quite often!

And now I shall crawl back into my sick bed and leave it to you guys to please comment on what you would like to see on the blog for 2013!

HUGE thank yous to all of you for reading and commenting! I'm so blessed. ♥ I appreciate all of you more than you know.

Oh, and PSSSSTTTT - you must stay with me at least through January because later this month I have  something SO EXTRA SPECIAL to share with you I can barely contain myself. *big grin*

  3. a fabulous year Sheila, well done. Your Enchanted Falloween collection was the standout for me - noth in terms of your own skill (photography and picking perfect undies) and for making me want every polish NOW. Lots of mwah for 2013 xxx

  9. Feel better soon, preferably yesterday.

I've never had a lemming for a Chanel, but your pictures of Malice are killing me. However, your nail art 'attempts' are inspiring me. The plaid and the butterflies are gorgeous and better I think than a repetitive stamp. I'm working up the nerve to give the butterflies a shot since my galaxy nails turned out pretty well.
