I'm still here - swatching my lil heart out! So no review posts for now, but I thought I'd show you a little easy "nail art" I did to extend my mani before I started swatching again.
I was wearing one of the new a-England polishes from the Burne-Jones Dream Collection, Briar Rose, so I did a gradient with that and Sleeping Palace from the same collection.
First without top coat...

I loved that mani so much! Then I added a stripe of a-England Merlin...

And before I removed it to start swatching again, I added a-England Morgan Le Fay, which is a fantastic topper that is nearly transparent in some lighting and very silvery in other lighting. It was still in my untrieds (shame on me!) but I will be wearing it more often now that I have seen the transformation from the bottle to the nail.

I will be showing you Morgan Le Fay soon as a Nail of the Day because it really is gorgeous and just these few photos don't do it justice.
What do you think? a-England is one of my favorite brands.
Okay, back to swatching! I have some stunners coming up, so stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteLovely art! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteI want to ask you, for A-England gradients, do you use sponge or not?
because it seems to me it will take a year until I reach nice opacity with a sponge..
Thanks!
I put down a base coat of the color I want near my cuticle - Briar Rose in this case - and I paint the polish onto the sponge with Briar Rose at the top and Sleeping Palace right under it, slightly touching and then I sponge on, dabbing quickly. Usually only takes me one or two passes doing it this way. Hope that helps. ♥
DeleteI will try this one for sure, because I have St.George & Dragon ready for gradient :) Thanks a lot for the tip! xxx
