Well THAT was fast! I've already had a few people ask for a comparison between Hard Candy Crush on Caribbean that I just posted and Zoya Charla.
Well, I can see why - they do look quite similar, especially when they're not seen side-by-side!
So here ya go!

So as you can see, they're not dupes. I've used two coats for each color and Charla really needed 3. Charla leans more toward the green side of teal while Crush on Caribbean leans to the blue side of teal. Charla has more gold than Crush on Caribbean. The finishes are basically the same though. Charla is just a bit thinner. They're both cruelty-free. Hard Candy is $4 and Zoya is $8.
What do you think? Do you need both?

Not as close as I thought!
ReplyDeleteboth are neat lol
ReplyDeleteThis makes me feel better about owning both :)!
ReplyDeleteI've got Charla and love it, but now I think I need Caribbean Crush too.
ReplyDeleteThey do look very similar. Hard Candy duplicated a few Zoya's lately. I compared Hard Candy Crush on Ivy and Zoya Rikki a while ago and they are pretty much identical. It's great to be able to find a cheaper alternative:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful comparison, I only own Charla and its one of the first Zoya polishes I bought since I rekindled my love with polish so maybe I am biased...While I love Zoya I am a huge blue fan and Crush on Caribbean looks perfect for a peacock blue!
ReplyDeleteCharla is a bit more green, but I can how they are very similar. They are both gorgeous polishes! I already have Crush on Caribbean on my wish list. But wow, I love that green lean of Charla too. Zoya is one of my favorite brands, they do shimmers so well.
ReplyDeleteI already have Charla, but Crush on Caribbean looks pretty too! I am really curious to see Hard Candy's Piece of Papaya next to Zoya Tinsley. I think they would be dead-on dupes??
ReplyDeleteI just picked up Crush on Caribbean and I didn't think it would be so blue in comparison to Charla. I like them both. :)
ReplyDeleteI spy a Tardis!! Yes, I know, that wasn't the important part of this post..
ReplyDeleteThe Hard Candy is a lot cheaper, but it's also a lot less polish. The amount of polish is about half of a standard full size. It doesn't matter to me, since when will I ever finish a bottle anyway? But I thought I'd put it out there. I think Hard Candy put out a great line.
