365 Days of Color - HIMYM Collection

*These Products are Cruelty Free

LeGEND - wait for it - ARY! Well how could I NOT get that out of the way first? For How I Met Your Mother fans, no explanation is necessary and for those who aren't, well it's not a requirement to think this collection from 365 Days of Color is legendary. (Thank goodness. Because I'm not a fan of the show *ducks and dodges the stones I can feel being hurled my way now* The collection, however, is really lovely!)

LAUNCHES TOMORROW
FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, 2013
9 AM Pacific Time

The HIMYM Collection is, of course, inspired by Sunny's love of the TV sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

There are 6 glitters in this collection...

Continued after the jump...

First, as to formula and application, I had no issues with any of the 6 polishes in this collection. As with all glitters, before using, I take a toothpick and scrape down the sides and across the bottom to help "float" the glitters. I really didn't have to dig out glitters on any of them or "place" any. They all spread nicely and laid flat on the nail. Marshmallow and Lilypad is the only one that's not a clear-based glitter. The formula on that one had no issues either.

-------------------------------------------------------

Nobody Asked You, PATRICE! is a clear-based glitter with silver, pink and lavender holo glitters and pink and purple metallic glitters in varying shapes and sizes. I used two light coats of this one over a plain violet berry creme (franken) with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ducky Tie is a clear-based glitter with orange metallic glitter, blue glitter and yellow glitter in varying shades, shapes and sizes. I layered 2 coats of this one over a mustard creme (Nails Inc. Hampstead Gardens) with one coat of Poshe top coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pulling. It. Off. is a clear-based glitter with red metallic and red holo glitter. I used two coats of this one over a pink neon (KBShimmer Don't Pink Twice) with one coat of Poshe top coat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pass the Sandwich is a clear-based glitter polish with green and cream glitters in varying shapes and sizes. I used two coats of this over a green gradient (Illamasqua Milf and Smash) and one coat of Poshe top coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit is a clear-based glitter polish with black and white glitter in varying shapes and sizes as well as black holo glitter. I used two coats of this one over a turquoise blue creme (Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu) with one coat of Poshe top coat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marshmallow and Lilypad is a white-based glitter polish with lime holo, pink and green glitter. I layered one coat of this one over a plain white creme with one coat of Poshe top coat. It can certainly be worn alone in 3 coats.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There you have them! Of course the layering possibilities are endless with the clear-based glitter polishes, but I  hope you liked my base color choices. What do you think of the collection? Which are your favorites? Oddly, said the yellow-hater, Ducky Tie is my favorite! But Pass the Sandwich and Pulling. It. Off. tie for second.
