Kiko Sugar Mat Collection - Part 1 of 4 - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Remember the one-finger teaser swatches of the 16 new Kiko Sugar Mat Collection polishes? Well I promised I'd be back with full swatches and tonight begins part 1 of 4! I figured after my last post (with 18 kajillion photos) I'd give your scrolling finger a little relief and break them up into smaller posts.

Continued after the jump...

As I stated when I did the quick one-finger swatches, my first impression was that I loved them because the formula was great on all of them - two coats, just a minute or so dry time between coats. No top coat of course. I did no clean up at all and was extra pleased that they weren't messy to apply.

After wearing them, my impressions haven't changed. As is the nature of any textured polish (and with my tendency toward picking at things) the edge of the nail is somewhat rough no matter what I do, so I take a light buffer to the edge to knock off any little bits that hang off the edge. Even with that, I really didn't have tip wear.

The formulas were the same on all of them. There are 8 "cremes" - Full Matte and 8 "shimmers" - Pearly Matte. These first 4 are "cremes."

So what do you think so far? Have you tried the "textured" polishes yet? I've reviewed a few mainstream textures and even an indie texture line and these are comparable, but with a wider variety of color choice. I think my favorites were the neon sands from Red Dog Designs - but these aren't bad! Kiko is one of my favorite brands, so I'm pleased that these didn't disappoint. The red (632) is my favorite of these so far - it's such a bright, cool red.
