Today I have a new-to-me indie polish brand to show you: Pound of Glitter! I have a polish duo from the Staycation Collection, inspired by the beautiful waters of the Bahamas: Nassau and Atlantis.

Pound of Glitter told me a little about how she got started:

• I started playing around with frankening after I got curious about why some nail polishes have great formulas... and some don't. I love all the colors, how they go together, mixing and creating. Eventually playing around with polishes turned into Pound of Glitter! It's fun, not work! I get lots of help from Osa, my German Shepherd, who likes to hang out with me in the polish room.

  
  

If you've never seen Osa, this is "Herself" - can you imagine the "help" she gives her mommy? LOL!

First up, Nassau. This one is a metallic medium teal - sort of like a peacock blue with the green undertones. It's a metallic shimmer and really has a glow to it. It can be brush-strokey a little but just using quick short strokes takes care of that. It's nothing like the "brush-strokey" look frosts have. No issues at all with formula or application. Two coats for full opacity and I didn't use a top coat because I was going to be layering Atlantis over it anyway. It does dry shiny but not super shiny so if you wear it alone, one coat of your favorite top coat will make it glow even more!

Atlantis was created as a glitter topper to work well with Nassau as part of the duo but these are both sold separately and it can be layered over lots of colors. It has blue, green and holographic micro-glitter, along with hexes and squares in various shades of blue, aqua and purple, gold, holographic metallic and black along with the short micro-bar glitters - all in a clear base. No issues to report at all. The glitters came out of the bottle nicely, spread evenly and laid flat on the nail. I layered it over Nassau with one coat of Poshe top coat for the photos.

What do you think? I really did love the color mix she used in Atlantis. I'm not a "more is more" type person usually, so some glitters are just too much for me, but the blue, aqua and purple glitters in this one work so well together.
