Chanel Rouge Moiré #595 is from the new Chanel Rouge Allure Moiré Collection. This collection consists of several new Rouge Allure Lipsticks, Rouge Allure Extrait de Glosses, Precision Lip Definer Pencils, Lip Colour Sticks and two nail polishes. The other polish is #593 Rose Moiré, which I didn't pick up - it was too light and pearly looking for my tastes.

I wasn't overly in love with this one either, actually. It's more metallic than I expected I guess. Not really my favorite BUT the color is nicely saturated and the formula and application were fine. It does take a little extra care than say, a creme, to avoid brush stroke marks. Not overly troublesome though.

I used two coats and no top coat for the photos.

What do you think of this one? If you like shimmery, nearly metallic reds, this one may be for you. It leans a little toward a berry red, meaning there's a bit more purple in the red base. So the color actually is quite pretty. I'm not sure it's one I'll reach for a lot, but I think I'm glad I have it.

I ordered mine from Nordstrom.com (free shipping bay-bee) but they should also be available in-store and at other e-tailers, including Chanel.com, by now.
