Shift Happens

This is one of my favorite Autumnal polishes and it just felt like time to whip it out again. I can't believe I haven't done a review on it before now!

Continued after the jump...

Shift Happens is a color-shifting topper with shifts from gold to red to orange to rust to copper to green. Wow that was a mouthful but the shifts in this one truly are awesome. The formula is thin and easy, like you expect with a topper. It can be layered over any color. I've seen it mostly over black but I wear it over dark browns a lot. This time I'm wearing it over Chanel Vertigo. One coat with one coat of Dazzle Dry top coat for all the photos. Yes, there are a lot. But dang I still didn't capture all the shifts!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Isn't it gorgeous? Before everyone asks, yes, it sort of reminds me of Clarins 230 a bit. However, this one is is a redder base while Clarins 230 (aka Unicorn Pee) was in a purple base and the formula and application on Clarins 230 wasn't nearly as easy to work with.

If you don't have this one yet, you're missing out. This one is available here for $11.50.

Girly Bits polishes are available on the Girly Bits website. Be sure and "like" Girly Bits on Facebook as well - there's a new Fall Collection you do not want to miss!

  1. Wondering what this looks like in comparison to Ninja Polish 100% Columbian? That one is always out of stock, need a good dupe!
