Tonight I have one of the two new Chanel FNO 2013 polishes to show you - Cosmic...and a comparison at the end with a couple of Diors. (To see my swatches and a comparison of Magic, click here.)
Chanel Cosmic, one of two Limited Edition polishes created for Vogue's Fashion's Night Out 2013, is a black creme with silver micro-flakes that shift to blue (and possibly violet - but that could be my eyes playing tricks on me).
Continued after the jump...
Cosmic is opaque in two coats and the formula is really creamy and smooth. No issues to report at all. I used two coats and no top coat for the photos.
Artificial lighting...
Indirect natural lighting...
The label appears blue in natural lighting but don't let that fool you |

Before I even swatched this one I got requests for comparisons, so I pulled out Dior Diorific Diva and Dior Black Sequins.
Initially I thought Chanel Cosmic and Dior Black Sequins were dupes, but they're not. They are VERY close, however.
- Dior Black Sequins has silver micro-glitter and silver shimmer.
- Chanel Cosmic has silver-to-blue color-shifting micro-flakes.
- Dior Diorific Diva has gold and holographic shimmer.

What do you think of Cosmic? I really loved it and it will probably be my go-to short nails winter polish when I'm not wearing vampy reds.
This one is now available at Chanel Boutiques and if it's like other FNO years, it will show up on Chanel.com eventually and possibly Nordstrom.com. Last I checked it hadn't yet though. Retail $27.00.
