KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection - Part 2 of 2

*This product is Cruelty Free

As you know by now, the KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection consists of 11 polishes. I showed you Plum Tuckered Out here, which is the one I created with Christy, on Monday and Part 1 of 2 here last night. Today I have the remaining 5 polishes...and a GIVEAWAY at the end!

KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection
Part 2

Christmas Now, Merry Pinkmas, Sand in My Stocking,
Strung Out and Will Yule Marry Me

RELEASING NOVEMBER 1, 2013

Continued after the jump...

As with the 5 I showed you yesterday, I absolutely loved the formula on all of these. I can't believe there's an entire collection where there were NO issues. The glitters in Merry Pinkmas are matte glitters so they're thicker than others and you might need a coat of Gelous and then a coat or two of top coat for that one. But they're all fantastic.
I've used one coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top top coat for all swatches.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Christmas Now – created by Christy and Crystal from Crystal’s Crazy Combos – A green jelly with multi-colored squares, circles, and stars. 3 Coats Recommended

I used two coats of this one with no issues. It's positively jam-packed with glitters so you might have to wipe some of them off your brush before applying. Great formula.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Merry Pinkmas – Created by Christy and Cris from Let Them Have Polish – A light cotton candy pink polish featuring red, green and neon glitters in a variety of shapes.  2-3 Coats Recommended

I used two coats of this one and one coat of top coat. No issues with formula at all. The glitters are matte and therefore thicker than metallic glitters so you might need a coat of Gelous in addition to your top coat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sand In My Stocking – Created by Christy and Jen The PolishAholic – A golden toned sand inspired polish with pops of orange, aqua, and holographic stars.  1 Coat Recommended

I absolutely loved this one over a plain gold base but because of the blue glitters I had to see what it looked like over I'd Rather Be with Blue. No issues with formula or application at all. This one is a true glitter bomb - so many glitters!

First, over I'd Rather Be With Blue with gold accent nail.

And then over all gold.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strung Out-  Created by Christy and Jackie from Candy Coated Tips – A black jelly polish with circle “light” glitters in gold, sliver, green, blue, red.  1-2 Coats Over Black Recommended

I used one coat of this one layered over a plain black creme. It can be worn on its own in about 3 coats but it builds up a little thick that way. The formula is smooth and easy and the glitters are well-suspended. No issues at all.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Will Yule Marry Me? – Created by Christy and Chelsea from The Nail Network – A navy blue crelly with sparkling silver holo circle and hex holo glitter.  2 Coats Recommended

This one blew my mind. In the bottle I had no idea it was a navy blue crelly. On the nail it's just amazing. The base is more opaque than the other jellies in this collection and 2 coats was perfection. The glitters are suspended so well that you get great depth on the nail...some partially buried in the base and some on top. Stunning. No issues at all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now you see why I've split this into two posts! What do you think? I know you probably need them ALL - but what are your favorites so far? I think they did a FANTASTIC job on each and every one of them! I know I described my vision to Christy and she got it on the first try. That's talent.

If you missed the rest of the collection, you can see Plum Tuckered Out here and Part 1 of the KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection here.

  15. I pulled the trigger on Strung Out and Snow Flaking Way. I blame you for showing me such good pictures that I had to try a new brand :P I really like your plum shade, but I just know it will look questionable on my skin tone.

  16. Hi! Great swatches as always. I wonder if you could do a comparison post on KBShimmer Midnight Rainbow vs Strung Out. I feel like they're too similar to get both, but I can't decide which to pick! Thank you!

    1. I don't have Jindie Nails Midnight Rainbow, but it depends on how much you like the black/circle glitter polishes. If you love them, they're different enough to have both. MR dries matte and has more colors of the circle glitters and extra shimmer. SO dries very shiny and only has the "Christmas color" circles. Very different in my opinion.
