Literary Lacquers
The Community Collection
I'm so excited! So naturally I have to show you "mine" first! Mine is called 84 Charing Cross Road - inspired by one of my favorite movies/books. In the world of books, especially 40's era stories, which is where 84 Charing Cross Road begins, it's a sepia-toned world, much like the pages of the old tomes central to the story of Frank and Helene. The sparkling rainbow, subtle in the shade, bursts forth in the sun, like the characters of Frank and Helene bursting forth from the un-earmarked pages of 84 Charing Cross Road. For anyone who loves books, they already know this is true for all of the stories and characters and worlds that lie within the sepia-toned pages of those leather-bound treasures.
Continued after the jump...
Full sun...
Indirect natural light...
Artificial light...

OMGosh I can't tell you how happy I am with how beautifully this one came out - like Amy "sonic-screwdrivered" my brain and saw my exact vision! Doctor Amy. ♥
What do you think of this one? Wait until you see the others!!! Check back in tomorrow for all 10 beauties.
The launch of The Community Collection is scheduled for Monday, November 25th at noon Mountain (that's 1 pm Central) and you can purchase individually for $10 each OR as a set for $90 - like getting one free! ReplyDeletehow cool.
ReplyDeleteOh, how much I love this movie. I haven't read the book, but Anne Bancroft and Anthony Hopkins are perfection in the film. I guess it's the New York girl turned Anglophile in me!! Congrats on a gorgeous polish collaboration!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're one of the few people I've talked to who has actually seen the movie/read the book! YAY! ♥
DeleteI LOVE this!! Can't wait to buy it! ♥ And I can't wait to see which others I need!
ReplyDeleteNot really a fan of holos, but there was no way I was gonna read this post and NOT tell you how much I adore the movie! (I haven't read the book yet!) The name of this polish seriously had me grinning like the Cheshire cat. Awesome choice. :)
ReplyDeleteYAY another 84 Charing Cross Road Lover!!! I'm not huge on the strong linear holos - she said I was the first person who ever asked her to make something LESS holo! I love the subtle scattered holo effect of this one. ♥
