Rock/Mineral Nail Art Week: Day One Abstract Eudialyte

Nothing to Disclose

Today starts another Nail Art week with some of my nail polish buddies! The theme this week is rocks and minerals. Well I have to admit that I was stumped.

When I was a kid, I would pick up an interesting rock from every place we ever visited. Okay fine, I still do it sometimes! I was never interested enough to look them up or get "into" it as a collector. I think it was just that we were so broke, those were my souvenirs! I don't even know if I still have most of them. I suspect they might be in a random box in a storage unit, but I'd rather have another root canal than go searching through a storage shed.

So of course I did what anyone would do. Google!

This eudialyte looked interesting so I just did sort of an abstract version of it on my nails and BAM, Day One was done!

I used a base of grey creme (Essence Movie Star) then I sponged on white and grey just a little to mottle them. Then I grabbed a little nail art brush and laid in the black and violet. The violet is a franken I made.

This is a really easy mani anyone can do - with any color combo! What do you think?

Be sure and check out the other great manis this week in the links below!

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

  4. I love this whole technique-- so much more beautiful and creative than one single color and expresses the inner artist.
