Multi-Chromes and Holos

Tonight I have Part Two of Jindie Nails' Holiday/Winter 2013 Collection for you - the Holos and Multi-Chromes!

Continued after the jump...

First, the Holos...

O Holo Night is described by the maker as "a blackened navy blue linear holo with violet/blue shimmer and SpectraFlair throughout.  This is opaque in about 3 coats." I found this one to be more of a jelly holo rather than a "creme" holo. I used 3 light coats of this one with no top coat for the photos. No issues to report.

Vixen is described by the maker as "a deep burgundy/wine linear holo with color changing flakes & SpectraFlair throughout.  This is opaque in about 3 coats." This one had the same jelly holo formula as O Holo Night. No issues to report. I used two coats of this one with no top coat. Check out the flakes!

And the Multi-Chromes...

Multi-Trick Pony is described by the maker as "a gorgeous multi-chrome polish with flecks of silver and silver shimmer.   The colors in this one include purple, turquoise blue, violet, purple and red and will depend on what angle the bottle or nail is being held. This is opaque in about 3-4 coats."  I used 3 light coats of this one with one coat of top coat for the photos. No issues to report.

Twerkin' for a Birkin is the best polish name EVER! This one is described by the maker as a multi-chrome with "silver, gunmetal and several shades of green including a bright lime green to a gorgeous emerald green.  The shade will depend on what angle the bottle or nail is being held.  This polish also has silver shimmer/flake throughout for extra kick. This is opaque in about 3 or 4 coats." I found 3 light coats to be plenty. No issues with formula or application.

And just for fun...I assure you no twerking was done in the acquisition of this handbag. I actually tried to do it once and threw my back out. Took me a week or better to get over it. Getting old ain't for sissies...and neither is twerking.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Can't Turn a Ho Lo Into a Housewife is described by the maker as "a gorgeous multi-chrome and linear holographic polish.   The colors in this one include red to blue and all shades in between. The shade will depend on what angle the bottle or nail is being held.  This polish also has linear holographic pigment added to it. This is opaque in about 3 coats."  I found 2 coats to be perfect for this one. This holo is more of a creamy holo and not a jelly holo. Formula and application were superb!

Well that covers the holos and multi-chromes! What do you think? My favorite name for a polish EVER is Twerkin' for a Birkin. Cracked me UP! But favorite polish of these 5? I'll have to go with You Can't Turn a Ho Lo Into a Housewife. It's a creamy, holographic multi-chrome and the colors are just amazing. What's your favorite?

Stay tuned for the final 4 in the collection tomorrow!

  2. O Holo Night's 'blackened navy blue' and Vixen's 'deep burgundy/wine' descriptions don't seem to match how light these are in the pictures. Or is it the way the light hits?

    2. Hahaha Yes - which is why I loved the name so much! It's a 35 cm black chevre with PHW and raisin interior.
