Fa la la la la...hope everyone is finished with their shopping because the stores are NUTS! Thank goodness for on-line shopping!
Had a busy week, as I am sure you guys did...lots of cleaning and shopping and errands and car repairs and standing in line at the Post Office. I'd rather have another root canal than do that, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do I guess.
It's been a rough week, well a SAD week. Ray Price was the best and although his perfect voice will live through his recordings forever, the man that he was will be missed.
It wasn't all bad though. After the jump I'll show you a bit of what I've been up to.
I really REALLY suck at putting on make up! I try and try and I just can't get the hang of it. I tried a "smoky eye" following a tutorial even and still end up with sort of a mess. LOL! Even if I could manage to get good results I fear I'd never be able to photograph it. My hat's off to the great beauty bloggers out there who get FAB photos. They make it look easy and it's SO not!
The Bad
I see you! hehehe
The good thing is that I used my new Chanel Quad and the shadows were pretty. Two of the 4 shades practically disappear into my skin though...
The Good
Awesome lipsticks from Urban Decay...
The Good
Got more Hue pants...in brocade.
The Good, The Good and the Bad
(Good because I love the fit of Hue, good because I love doggie photobombs, bad because the shiny brocade is much better in theory than on ME.)
Starbucks - Y U NO MAKE GOOD TRAVEL MUGS? This one is only a few months old. I tried to use it the other day and it made the weirdest noise. Because it was leaking. They used a screw that rusted and covered it with the black rubber bottom. Got a Thermos brand one to replace it. No screws. But it's too tall for my ice maker and my coffee maker. Is it too much to ask for the perfect travel cup?
The Bad
And ending on a positive - I got wonderful tulips from a dear friend just because I was sad. And missing last Christmas paid off this year - I got some pretties! Roberto Coin necklace and a smoky quartz ring and a sapphire ring. He did good.
And how was YOUR week?
I hope everyone has the BEST holiday ever, no matter what form your celebration takes. As for me, I wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and FABULOUS New Year, and to all my friends and readers who celebrate Jewish Holidays or any other form of holiday, may they be the best ever.

I love your Bits and Bobs posts - they're like a journal entry each week! I love that we get to see little pieces of you. ♥
ReplyDeleteYou have such pretty green eyes!! And those UD lippies look amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour green eyes are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can never do eyeshadow either. :( I don't know how the beauty gurus/bloggers do it!
You are totally rocking those leggings! And what a cute photo bomber! :)
Tulips are my favorite, and the jewels are beautiful - I especially love the necklace! Merry Christmas!
Well I'm not done shopping, but I hope to knock out three last items tomorrow....
ReplyDeleteThe jewelry is awesome!!
Happy holidays!!!
Loved this Bits and Bobs post! I had a chuckle over the eye shadow caper. I hope you kept the brocade pants! Beautiful jewels, and I hope the tulips lifted your mood. Having reasons to be sad around the holidays make it especially hard to deal with. Wishing you all the best of the season. Oh, and I managed to get a stainless steel Starbucks travel mug which is great (no rust or rubber bottom), but it's quite top-heavy. Go figure. I'm always on edge when it's on my desk, threatening to fall over!
ReplyDeleteI love makeup and I love playing with it but it is impossible to get good pics! I definitely admire the bloggers that take those amazing pics. I can put on something that looks really good (at least I think it does) and then I take a pic and it looks like a muddled mess. And those UD lippies look amazing!
