Zoya Naturel Collection - Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Zoya Naturel

Tonight I have the Zoya Naturel Collection for you. This collection is right up my alley for sure because as most of you know by now, I do glitter and shimmer and holo but I will ALWAYS say "cremes" if you ask me my favorite finish and what I personally wear 90% of the time. I know it won't excite everyone but I practically squeed out loud when I saw the promo pics.

Continued after the jump...

All six polishes in this collection had the same formula and application...smooth and easy. The formulas are on the thin side so thin coats is the way to go, but all six were self-leveling and opaque in only two coats. They also dried to a great shine. No issues to report with any of them.

So lets go alphabetically...starting with Brigitte. Brigitte is described as a "bombshell mauve cream" and I can't really disagree with that. It's a pale, dusty mauve.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chantal is described as a "french vanilla creme" and I found it to be a light almond. Because this color clashes with my skin tone it looks a bit more yellow on me than it will on most people.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Normani is described as a "sable mauve cream" but I'd call it a wonderful sable grey-leaning taupe. Go figure. I've already been asked how this one compares to Jana (which is one of my 3 all-time favorite Zoyas and one I've already used two full bottles of - I'm on my third now) so I'll have a comparison post between Normani and Jana for you tomorrow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Odette is described as a "sultry maroon cream" and I have to respectfully disagree completely with this because it doesn't fit any idea I've had in my head of maroon. This is a gorgeous light violet - like a pale orchid. Just lovely and cool-toned and gorgeous.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rue is described as a "boudoir blush cream" and that's a really great description. It's a pale blush that will probably be the closest I'm going to find to my perfect neutral. It's cool enough in tone for my skin and I just loved it.

Indirect natural lighting...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Taylor is described as a "light toffee cream" but this seems lighter to me than toffee - but for lack of a better description we'll go with that! Or maybe putty? Of course, as most polish shades, it looks different in artificial vs natural lighting, which is why I try to show both when I can.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And I've already been asked how different the 3 lightest ones are so I did a quick skittles mani with the lightest 4 shades...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you think of this collection? Favorites? Mine are Rue, which surprised me, and Normani of course but I also fell in love with Odette, which I already knew I'd love just from the promo photos!

  1. Very pretty even though I don't usually like neutrals :) Normani might even suit my tan-plus-ruddy skin tone! TY for swatching as always.

  4. Hi there! Do you think that Kennedy is similar at all to Rue? They look very similar to me, and I'm not so sure that I need both, but it's really, really tempting. Thanks!

  5. I agree with you about Odette being orchid, not maroon at all. Nail Polish Canada I hope will have it in soon!

  7. Also, any tips on how to trim natural nails to look like the nails in your photos? Do you have any step by step tutorials?
