I'm excited to be participating in the first Lacquer Legion challenge, put together by Chalkboard Nails, Rebecca Likes Nails, The Nailasaurus, and Work/Play/Polish. This month, the theme is reinvention. If you want to participate, you can like The Lacquer Legion on Facebook and hashtag your posts on all social media with #LLreinvention. Each month there will be a different theme and hashtag.
I was pretty excited to be participating in this and had several ideas in my head when I first heard about this. And then I got busy and, in true Sheila fashion, forgot about it completely. So I didn't have time to do any of the ideas I was excited about initially. Once again, flying by the seat of my pants, I came up with this quick and easy mani that sort of reinvents the common, classic heart for Valentine's Day using unconventional colors. Yeah, I'm not much of a pink-lover.
Unconventional Shades of Valentine's Day
I used a base of Oopsie Daisies Secret Admirer, which I was already wearing, and free-handed blue hearts and stripes using a-England Tristam with a few plain white accents.
I'll tell you what, I bet for the next challenge, I prepare and set a reminder on my phone! I can't wait to see what the next theme will be because I plan on killin' it!

Love the way these two polishes look together!
ReplyDeleteI forgot about the challenge as well, except I couldn't come up with anything at all. Hopefully next time!
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love it!
ReplyDeleteOOh that is gorgeous!! You had me at purple. ♥
ReplyDeleteQuite nice. I'm still burned out on the mashup manis from the holidays, so am liking my nail art simple nowadays.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice Sheila! The colors are a perfect match and you hearts are so cute.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
I think you killed this one! I love the color palette!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful nails, Sheila! I'm so glad you participated! I'm a faithful reader...but need to comment more often. Are you coming to CPNA this year?! We'll get to meet! :)
ReplyDeleteActually I AM planning on it! YAY!!! And I read yours daily in my bloglovin over my morning coffee but I'm bad about commenting too. LOL!
