Spring 2014
The Jellies
Today I have 3 of the new additions to The Jellies - 3 of the new polishes in the Spring 2014 collection from Colors by Llarowe launching (for pre-order) Friday, February 28, 2014. Over the coming days and weeks, I'll have more from this collection to show you.
Continued after the jump...
First up, Grape Juice. This one is blurple (blue-purple) jelly polish. Super squishy and juicy. No issues with formula or application. Three coats and no top coat for the photos.
And I did a jelly sandwich with Elevation Polish Passion Flower glitter - 2 coats of Grape Juice, one coat of Passion Flower and one final coat of Grape Juice to sandwich it in...

Ocean Water is a blue-leaning teal jelly polish. Very squishy and super shiny. No issues with formula or application. You do need to remember that jellies, by nature, are sheer and build to that squishy, stained-glass sort of finish. I used three coats and no top coat for the photos.

And finally, Tweety Bird. This one looks like homemade lemon pudding that you've just taken off the stove, hot - as you're pouring it in cups to cool. Yummy for sure! Only thing is, it really hates my stained nails and cool, pale skin. I think this one will be good for jelly sandwiches, syrup manis, etc. And specifically short nails with darker skin. On me though? Yeah, it's bad. Tweety hates me.
First I'll show you 4 coats alone over my stained nails (with apologies) and then I did a jelly dotwich and a jelly glitter sandwich, layering it over Elevation Polish Mount Ventoux.
A jelly dotwich...one coat of Elevation Polish Mount Ventoux, two coats of Tweety Bird, dots with CbL The Great Pretender (one of the new shimmers) and a final coat of Tweety Bird...
A jelly glitter sandwich...one coat of Elevation Polish Mount Ventoux, two coats of Tweety Bird, one coat of Elevation Polish Huangshan II (glitter) and a final coat of Tweety Bird.
To see Tweety Bird on darker, warmer skin, check out Sweet Southern Haze's post here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other jellies are Licorice and Coconut which were 2013 polishes. You can see those two over at Set in Lacquer here.
Of course my favorite is Grape Juice and least favorite is Tweety Bird. What about you?
These three jellies, as with all of the Spring Collection 2014 polishes, will be available for pre-order at the Friday, February 28, 2014 restock.
Colors by Llarowe polishes are available at Llarowe's shop here. You can like Llarowe on Facebook and follow Llarowe on Twitter for more information and launch times.
