Easter/Spring Argyle Nail Art with Glitter Gal Swatches and Review

*These products are Cruelty Free

Easter/Spring Argyle Nail Art

Continued after the jump...

I love argyle, so it's the first design I thought of when deciding what to do with these Spring-hued Glitter Gal polishes.

Here's a quick mini-tutorial on the free-hand design...

I used Bluemerang as my base color. The other shades are Crushed Ego (holographic purple), Off Your Rocker (pink) and White Pointer for the white stripes.

And this is a bit different. I had fun playing around with the polishes and then I broke a nail. Whomp. So I have swatches of the polishes on my shorties.

First, Wisteria. I ended up topping the Argyle Nails with a light coat of Wisteria for a subtle, sparkly effect, but forgot to get final photos with Wisteria so here it is on it's own. It's a light lavender holographic polish - great formula. No issues at all. I used 3 light coats of this one. It's also a great topper with one coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Off Your Rocker is a very saturated deep pink creme that dries to a high shine. Two coats with no top coat. Perfect, self-leveling formula.

Crushed Ego is a purple/bruised plum linear holographic polish. Two coats and no top coat for photos. No issues at all. Great formula - easy and smooth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

White Pointer is a straight white creme. The formula was good and nicely self-leveling. Two coats and no top coat for the photos. White isn't the best color on my skin tone but it's great for nail art. And if you're lucky enough to have a nice tan, it looks great.

I didn't have any issues with any of these polishes and I had fun doing the Spring/Easter Argyle! What do you think? (I reviewed Bluemerang that I used as a base here.)
