Nire's Desire: Anam Cara - Swatches and Review

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

When I saw this and the name, I knew I had to make it MINE! And I'm glad I did. So today I'm going to show it to you: Nire's Desire Anam Cara. Plus, it's Irish, so it fits in really well this week with St. Patrick's Day just around the corner.

Nire's Desire
Anam Cara

"Anam cara" (Ananchara) is a Gaelic word/phrase that loosely translates as "soul" friend. And I'm blessed to have a couple of those. I also have a ring with this on it but I can't seem to find it! ACK!

Continued after the jump...

Anam Cara is a lovely blue-leaning dusty purple creme base with gorgeous emerald green glass flecks that also show as teal depending on the lighting. As you can see in the first photo, it's showing emerald green - like the Emerald Isle - and on the nail you can see the teal. It also has pink/fuchsia micro-shimmer/flakes (or that may be another color-shift?) and iridescent micro-flakes. The formula is smooth and easy. No issues to report at all! Two light coats and no top coat for the photos.

Artificial lighting...

Indirect natural lighting...

I am so in love with this one! What do you think?

    1. I am so not a photographer so I don't know about lenses but my camera is a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ28 whatever that means. I keep it on the little "iA" thing. I've tried using the little flower (macro?) but they always come out blurry so it stays on iA. Beyond that it's just knowing which light is best for which polishes to see what's in them. That's the only part I'm good at. ♥
