Nail of the Day: Illamasqua Obsess

Nothing to Disclose
*This product is Cruelty Free

Illamasqua
Obsess

Illamasqua Obsess is a super bright fuchsia pink creme that dries to a nice semi-gloss - I think because it's almost neon. I actually prefer that finish myself, but my guy loves super shiny so I wore it with a top coat. Superb formula and application. No issues at all to report. Two coats and one coat of top coat for the photos (except where indicated). I *think* this one is from 2011.

Photos after the jump...

With top coat...

And without top coat...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm not typically a pink-lover. Well I guess I should say I'm not a pastel pink lover. But bright or well-saturated shades like this super-bright pop of fuchsia are right up my alley. I think I'm learning not to say "I don't like X color" because I think there is a shade of any color that could work for me. Yes, even yellow (see Elevation Mount Ventoux)! It's the shade and pigmentation. I'm just not meant for pale shades against my pale skin. This one is great though!

I especially loved this bright pop of happy on my shorties. What do you think? Do you have this one?

Illamasqua polishes are available at Illamasqua.com in the UK but you can get them at Sephora and some larger department stores like Bloomingdales and they retail for $17 here in the States.

I'm with you! I'm not at all a pink lover, but give me a hot pink, a neon pink, a super bright pink and you'll make my day. This one is gorgeous, I'm in love with Illamasqua's varnishes....it's a shame they became almost impossible for me to get after Royal Mail's new policy.

  3. OMG that is so beautiful. It looks so squishy with the top coat. I think I may have to add this polish to my list
