Weekend Bits and Bobs: April 13, 2014 - Maybe Next Week

Nothing to Disclose

This weekend was a roller coaster ride so I don't have a bits and bobs post for you tonight. We're awaiting a positive identification of a friend. A vibrant, fun-loving, super-smart family man whose boat was found Friday morning without him in it.

There've been dozens of boats and a few helicopter searches over this weekend and today a body was found. Unsure if it's him, but all signs point that way at this point. I can't even begin to imagine what this weekend was like for his family and I'm holding them in my thoughts and prayers.

We've been in contact with lots of people and there's been a lot of information floating around, speculation, wringing of hands and tons of prayers, but I really don't know much more than I did Friday.

Update: Positive ID had been made and all I can say is that my heart is breaking for his beautiful wife and wonderful boys.

He is right around my age.

I just couldn't bring myself to post anything fun this go-'round.

I hope all of you have a good week and hug your loved ones a little closer because you just never know.

  7. Believe me, we totally understand and sympathize with you. Nail polish is about fun and frivolous (in a good way) and, of course, that is not where you are now. My heart goes out to the family and friends of this man.
