The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades: The 70s

Nothing to Disclose

Since we're doing Decades, I knew I'd need to do something for the 70s. I have strong feelings about the decade between 1965 and 1975, even though I grew up in it. It's the worst decade in the history of man! Well okay, maybe that's a bit strong. But I liked very little about that decade...the movies, the music, the slang, the fashion - BLECH! Paisley and bell bottoms and psychedelic colors regurgitated up all over everything. Leisure suits, wide collars, beads, hip-huggers (yes, I STILL hate them)! So today I'm doing the 70s and tomorrow, the 60s and Thursday and Friday are still up for grabs.

This is sort of a grab-bag of the 70s and I hope you can tell what everything is supposed to be!

I can't even remember all the polishes I used for this one - just random Sinful Colors and Wet n Wild ones. The Rubik's Cube is a bit messy, the disco dancer's suit is awkward and the lava lamp looks like something out of a mystical sci-fi illustration. The pinkie is supposed to be a disco ball.

I like this mani about as much as I liked the 70s, but all nail art is good nail art because all of it is practice and you learn as much or more from fails as from successes. That's how I try to look at life and how I must be able to look at my own nail art. Always learning!

Be sure and check out the other great Decades manis from the rest of the crew below!
