Weekend Bits & Bobs: May 11, 2014 - Perspective

Nothing to Disclose

So sorry I missed last weekend's bits and bobs post. Lots of stuff going on - turmoil and upheaval.

I've always said the word perspective (with its meaning and implementation in our lives) is the biggest, grandest, most important word in our language and never has it been more clear to me than at this time in my life. Currently, my perspective is blurred, like looking down at the tracks while speeding forward aboard the train if life, unsure of the destination and unaware how much time is passing or who else is on the journey.

I've never been a big believer in luck or chance. Instead we have choices and consequences and we just have to hope that we are strong enough to make the choices and cope with the consequences.

Right now, all my energy is being spent looking for my big girl panties and hoping that I'm strong enough.

So at least for now, you just get photos.

Continued after the jump...

Neat stuff...

So I made a makeup bag and a pencil case with the Union Jack duct tape - matches my sunglasses holder I painted a while back...

Found more fortune cookie chips at World Market. They were out last time...

And a cute basket on sale at Michael's...

Got a new phone finally...

And a new case - much slimmer than the old Otterbox I had on my 4s...

And the sweetest Mother's Day collage! My friend Ash pulled some pics I'd posted over the years of Twinks and Murphy and made the cutest collage for me for Mother's Day to cheer me up. I only have the 4-legged kind and I lost my mom 22 years ago so I'd kept my head buried in a book for most of the day, only to pop onto FB and see this...

The pic in the bottom right was taken in the hotel room on our first night together! Thanks Ash, you made my day. ♥

Me and my wonderful mother...sorry it's an old pic and blurry. Circa 1967 or 1968?

Still have no idea why she decided it would be a good idea to give me a bath outside in a washtub.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't think what, if anything, interesting happened over the course of the last 2 weeks but if it comes to me later I'll include it in a future Bits and Bobs post.

I'll just leave you with one of my favorite manis in the last couple of weeks...

Red Dog Designs La Vie en Rose

And I bet I wore a-England Sleeping Palace no fewer than 10 times. It just makes me happy.

Best Polish of 2013

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wish all of you a clear perspective and a Happy Mother's Day and until next week...TA! ♥

If you enjoyed this post, please take a second to "like" it! Thanks!

As for why your more m gave you bath outside, it was probably a very hot day and she wanted to cool you off! You were a cutie pie and your mom was gorgeous! You look a lot like her 😘
