piCture pOlish: Blogfest 2014

*These products are Cruelty Free

It's that time again! Every year, the ladies at piCture pOlish come up with an idea for bloggers worldwide to participate in - all together. On the same day. Blogfest! This year we are going to be showcasing one piCture pOlish shade by itself and showing you some nail art using 2 other piCture pOlish shades and one of the Nail Vinyls designs.

So let's start with the Nail Vinyls, shall we? After the jump...

Our challenge was to use 2 piCture pOlish shades and Nail Vinyls, chosen by piCture pOlish. My shades were Candy and Chillax and my Nail Vinyls were mini chevrons. What to do, what to do? I figure you've seen just straight chevron manis already so I tried to come up with a different way of using them. I chose a diamond pattern! We all know how trying diamonds can be, but with the mini chevrons from Nail Vinyls, they were easy!

Here's my final mani...

I started by pulling the vinyls off and putting on the little disc that was enclosed so they would be easier to grab when I was ready for them...

And then I just placed them on the nails to make varying diamond patterns...

and VOILA!

And now let's have a look at Ultra Violence.

Ultra Violence was created in collaboration with Lab Muffin and it's a rich, royal purple with copper hex micro-glitters and shimmer - a lovely copper pink shimmer and I think violet shimmer as well? The formula is creamy and smooth. No issues to report at all. Glitters are well suspended and they spread nicely on the nail within the base. Two coats of polish and one coat of top coat for the photos.

What do you think? Ultra Violence is lovely and complex. And so moody!

And the Nail Vinyls? Many of you already know, but I will make a confession. I'm really bad with striping tape. So bad that I've found pieces of it stuck to various, unlikely, body parts after wrestling with it. Nail Vinyls are so much easier for me to work with. They're more substantial and they don't curl! You can use these like you would striping tape or stencils or you can trim them and use them like decals, leaving them on the nail.

These shades, along with Nail Vinyls are available directly from piCture pOlish and through their Network. The Network brings piCture pOlish to you through their network of members worldwide. 1. Such a cute mani! I just placed an order for the vinyls but not for the chevrons as I am not a big fan of that look. But what you have done with them to make diamonds is totally wonderful. I guess they will have to be part of my next order.
