Hi guys! A different sort of post today - my DOGGIES!
Murphy is a chill dude. He's not fussed by much - but Twinks is pretty high strung and she was DEPRESSED. At first I thought she was sick but she wasn't. It took me a while to figure it out because I never really considered S.A.D. affecting dogs before but she was truly and utterly depressed.
It's been cold and nasty here lately and while the cold doesn't bother Murphy much, it does bother Twinks. But heaven forbid one be in or out without the other! I actually heard my mother coming out of my mouth repeatedly. "IN OR OUT!"
They love it outside so much and being stuck in the house with me 24/7 was really getting her down.
Today was gorgeous - sun was shining and it was about 68 degrees (F) with lower-than-normal humidity and very light winds. While I couldn't take them to the "pretty" beach - you know, the people beach - because they can't be off-leash there, I could take them to their favorite "on the water" spot.
Off we went...
Already happier! Almost there...
Murphy was actually PRANCING!
That's Twinkie's "herd dog" stance - I told her it was time to go so she set off to herd Murphy back to the car.
Satisfaction!
They wore themselves out and are now sacked out in the sun in the back yard.
Bliss.
HAPPY SATURDAY!

.
Awwww!!! Warmer here today in central Ohio too, or at least 46 degrees feels warmer after the past couple of weeks!
ReplyDeleteYour doggies are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, your dogs are so cute and their personalities really show through in your photos. Thanks for this different type of post!
ReplyDeleteThis was such a happy post!! May Twinks never be so sad again!! <3
ReplyDeleteNow that was a series of pictures of pure happiness!
ReplyDelete:-) this post just made me smile. I was even showing my husband the photos.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing happy dogs!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing such a happy outing! Yay for Twinkies and Murphy, having all that fun running around! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post! I loved seeing the photos of your happy pups, running around outside. They must have felt like they were in heaven! I can relate. The weather here in Houston was so drab and cold for so long I was miserable. Having the sun back out, and warmer weather, is just divine!
ReplyDeleteAwww, they are the cutest. What a great post. Any time you want to treat us to their antics, it's a thrill. Particularly loving the prancing photos, the herd photo with ball, and the car ride, "Are we there yet?" photos. It was miserable here, gray and raining, and I bagged out of an event because I just did not want to go outside. Perfect timing for vicarious dog fun. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThey are both absolutely adorable and look so happy!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they had an awesome time! You are such a good pet mommy!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, look at the smiles on those two! I wish I could take my Scruffy to the beach but the last time I did, he took off for the dunes and you don't really know how big a dune is until you scamper up one (or try to) after a rascally fast little terrier. Now he stays leashed which isn't nearly as much for him but he isn't much of a water dog anyway.
