Swatches after the jump...

*NOTE: I never use a base coat. They just don't agree with my body chemistry or something and I get more staining and chipping WITH than without. I always seem to be the oddball. So I will tell you my experiences and if I had any staining and if so how much.

I tried to get shots in artificial light, full sun and shade for each but there are a few I didn't manage all lighting sources on. I still think you can get a good idea of what the polish looks like overall.

To avoid confusion (mine) I'm going alphabetically this time.

Berries in the Snow - This is ONE coat with one coat of top coat. A rich, deep berry holo. I did experience "slight" staining with this one. Mainly on the skin as I carelessly removed. The stain on the nail came off easily.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Breathless - This one was the "sleeper" of the bunch for me. It's SO much prettier on the nail than in the bottle. This is a deep red wine crelly base full of what looks to be magenta shimmer. It applies like a creme but has the jelly look and the shimmers settle into the base giving it that lit from within look. Two coats and one coat of top coat.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fairy Dust - this one is a silvery, off-white/grey scattered holo crelly with various sizes of holo shimmer and micro-glitter. Three light coats and one coat of top coat.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Hot Buttered Rum - this one is a sandy beige with that tightly scattered "metalure" holo I'm so fond of. Two coats and one coat of top coat.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ice Ice Baby - this one is an icy sky blue linear holo. No issues. Two coats with one coat of top coat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If You Dare - this one a bright, rich fuchsia linear holo with a pink/violet holo arc. Two coats and one coat of top coat. I experienced no staining with this one but a few other bloggers reported slight staining for this one.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jewel of Denial - this one is a teal linear holo. (This one has more green/aqua in the base as opposed to the darker teal and bluer undertones of Peacock Parade.) This one is just a touch more green than the photos show. Two coats with one coat of top coat. *I did experience very slight staining, again mostly on my skin as I removed it. I did a light buff to remove.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peacock Parade - this is a deeper teal linear holo with more blue undertones. ONE coat with one coat of top coat. This one did give me slight staining. I used baking soda and didn't have any trouble removing it.

And this is a quick comparison of the two teals on the collection...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Plum Perfect - this one is a violet purple linear holo. Two coat perfection. One coat of top coat. Smooth and creamy application and formula.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Santa Baby - this one is a cheery Christmas red - cool-toned - that has the glowy effect my camera gets cross-eyed over. There is a ton of shimmer and holo micro-glitter. Two coats with one coat of top coat.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

'Shroom with a View - For those who know me, it's going to come as no surprise that I heard angels sing with I put this one on. This is a dark taupe/charcoal brown tightly scattered holo ("metalure-type" that I love). Two coats with one coat of top coat.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tree of Lights - This is a mostly green super sparkly cruelly full of holo shimmer and micro-glitter. Because my skin is more cool-leaning it does pull out the blue undertones more than a warmer skin tone would. It's definitely an evergreen Christmasy green though. I used 3 light coats of this one with one coat of top coat.

 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And before we wrap it up I did a few quick and easy nail art looks.

This is my signature toothpick marble of course - it always appears when I need quick and easy! Fairy Dust with Breathless...

A toothpick marble accent nail with a Hot Buttered Rum base and Plum Perfect accent...

Santa Baby with Fairy Dust - just a toothpick swirl on the accent and dots on the rest...

A gradient with Fairy Dust and Santa Baby...

And to show that these stamp I did a quick stamp using Tree of Lights over the above gradient...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And there ya go! What do you think? Favorites? Of course mine was EASY this time - 'Shroom with a View was my absolute favorite of the collection with Breathless and Hot Buttered Rum right behind it.

These will be launching for pre-order at Llarowe starting November 23rd from 12 PM noon to 8 PM (MST) and they are currently available in the UK at Rainbow Connection. Please check with other stockists for availability.

  1. Breathless is my favorite and really is appropriately named! I always love seeing your swatches, as they're accurate and really showcase the beauty of polishes without overstating their qualities. I also appreciate the variety of shots you give. Macros are really fun, but I also like seeing the polish from a distance to get a better sense of the color against your skin tone. :)
