Crème à la Mode Box - Winter 2015

The Crème à la Mode Box is a quarterly box and this is the 2nd one! You can see the first Box here. And as you may know or at least have guessed - the creme lover in me is doing a snoopy dance.

This box launches for PRE-ORDER starting November 15th at 9 am and the pre-order goes through November 21st. Boxes are expected to start shipping to fill all pre-orders by December 1, 2015.

These boxes will retail for the low price of $26 plus shipping, so in the US the total will come to under $30. ($26 is $6.50 each!) After the boxes are shipped, they will offer the polishes at full price in their respective shops, as well.

Digital Nails - Arboreal - This one is a cool-toned green with quite a bit of blue. I guess that would make it a green-leaning teal? Whatever color it is, the formula is like buttah! Smooth and creamy and dries to a glossy hight shine. I used 3 light coats and one coat of top coat.

Literary Lacquers - Breathing Dreams Like Air - This one is right smack between a purple and a grey. Is there a word for that already? Like grey and beige is greige. If not there should be. Like grurple? At any rate, it's that perfect smoky greyed-out purple. My skin tone pulls out the grey for sure. You can have a look at Jedi Wife's swatches here to see how her skin tone pulls the purple more. This one was opaque in 2 coats and I used one coat of top coat. No issues.

Octopus Party-Malibu Stacy's Mom - Can I just say I sighed with relief that this isn't pretending to be anything but PINK - not a crelly, not a neon a nice, bright white-based PINK. This was 2 coats with one coat of top coat and I had no issues at all with the formula or application.

Indigo Bananas - Scarlet Night - This one is a deep oxblood red creme. Just a bit more brown-leaning than say, a lipstick red. Sultry! This one was a tad thinner than the others so I used 3 thin coats for opacity. Wipe the brush so you don't flood the cuticles! No issues though. One coat of top coat.

You can pre-order these from the Crème à la Mode Big Cartel shop here, again, starting November 15th through the 21st. $26.00 for all 4 polishes. Shipping to commence on or about December 1, 2015. It will be a quarterly box and after all pre-orders are shipped, each maker will sell their own polish in their shop at full retail.
